Dear Mr. Adams,
As one of our regular library members, you may be interested to hear that Maple Town Library is starting a new book club this autumn. The club is open to anyone who enjoys reading and would like to talk about books with others. We would be delighted if you joined us.
The book club will meet once a month, on the first Friday evening, from 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room on the ground floor. Each month, the group will choose one book to read, and members will share their thoughts about it at the next meeting. Our very first book will be a popular travel story, and copies are already available to borrow at the front desk.
There is no fee to join the club, but space in the meeting room is limited to twenty people. For this reason, we ask members to sign up in advance. You can do this by visiting the library or by replying to this email. If the first book proves popular, we will order extra copies so that everyone can read it in time, and you are welcome to bring a friend if you tell us in advance so that we can save a seat.
We are also looking for one or two volunteers to help prepare tea and coffee for the meetings. If you would like to help, please mention it when you sign up. We hope to see you at our first meeting on Friday, October 3.
Best wishes,
Maple Town Library
